    MODESTO – August 5, 2009 – Memorial Medical Center and Sutter Gould Medical Foundation invite the public to a free heart education and training program, Hot Topics in Cardiology: F.I.T.T. in the Fall, on September 29. The event begins with registration, vendors and refreshments at 5:30 p.m. and continues with a presentation until 7:30 p.m. at Memorial’s Health Education and Conference Center in McHenry Village, 1700 McHenry Ave., Suite 60B, Modesto.

    Featured speakers include Lisa Masson, MD, MBA, family practice, Gould Medical Group, who will address life after a cardiac event, the benefits of exercise and overcoming barriers to exercise. Brooks Girton, EP, certified wellness coach, Memorial Medical Center, will discuss the F.I.T.T. (frequency, intensity, time and type of exercise) equation, exercises that people can perform at home, and how to track exercise. Seating is limited. To register, call 548-7860 by September 25.
