MODESTO – February 4, 2010 – Adults age 18 and older with high blood pressure, diabetes or a family history of kidney disease are invited to receive a free kidney screening at the Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP®) on March 6, 2010. The event will be presented by Memorial Medical Center and the National Kidney Foundation from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Church Hall in Modesto.

KEEP® was designed to raise awareness about kidney disease among high-risk individuals. It includes free testing and educational information, which can prevent or delay the complications of kidney disease. People who have a high risk of kidney disease are invited to register for a comprehensive health risk appraisal, blood pressure measurement, blood and urine testing, and the opportunity to discuss their health and review results with on-site clinicians.

For more information or to make an appointment, contact Memorial’s Health Center at 572-7262.
